  • Galben T&B, official travel agency for the Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus

Galben Travel & Business, the travel agency specialising in corporate travel, is to be the official travel agency of the Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus (MGMC).

The Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus came into being in October 2012, and after more than two years’ hard work and dedicated commitment by its members, the chorus is starting to make an impact beyond the island. As a consequence of this popularity the group needs a trusted partner to manage its travel requirements, enabling the chorus to perform in any city in the world. At Galben T&B we are delighted to take up the challenge of partnering dozens of choral voices throughout 2015 (at least!) on their tour of some the foremost venues beyond Mallorca’s shores.

The adventure started on 10 January, when the Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus travelled to London to perform as special guests in a concert entitled Legends - Homage to the greats, a new show starring the LGTB choir The Pink Singers, held at the Cadogan Hall.

At Galben Travel & Business we took care of organizing and coordinating all aspects of the choir’s trip to the UK – flights, transfers in London and accommodation – enabling the 40 voices of the chorus to concentrate on what they do best: singing. We are delighted to participate in the organization of national and international events in partnership with the MGMC.

    The Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus

The Mallorca Gay Men’s Chorus is made up of a group of friends from the choral world that decided to get together to sing a varied repertoire of songs. Inspired by a host of similar choirs already in existence all over the world, such as the San Francisco GMC, the Los Angeles GMC and the London GMC, the MGCM was founded in October 2012 under the leadership of the pianist and choral director, Joan Laínez. Songs by Lady Gaga, Fangoria, Madonna, Queen and the Pet Shop Boys, among others, feature in the MGCM repertoire.

The chorus consists entirely of male voices but, despite the appearance of the word ‘gay’ in its name, is not made up exclusively of homosexuals.
